Green Technology Institute works with various US and International initiatives at local, state and federal levels to showcase viable solutions, innovative entrepreneurs and their green technology development companies. Programs are conducted in partnership with the private sector, state and local government, USDA & DOE Labs, universities and other stakeholders. The aim of GTI is to expand the footprint of the industry and assist the new generation of entrepreneurs in developing sustainable platforms and collaborative efforts. GTI goals is to launch various activities and programs to educate and train neighborhoods, assist start up companies, existing green businesses and large corporations in leading edge green/clean policy developments, technology assessment and sustainable business strategies and financial modeling. Les Hamasaki Mr. Hamasaki is the CEO & President of the Green Technology Institute (GTI) and the International Green Technology Institute (IGTI), affiliated with the Tom Bradley Legacy Foundation, Inc.; a non profit public benefit organization located at the Tom Bradley International Hall at UCLA. IGTI’s mission is to educate and empower communities to create a sustainable future. IGTI launched the global solar televillage empowerment center initiative known as E Villages, to empower Ecopreneurs to become the economic engine to create the green economy in the 21st century. Mr. Hamasaki is the Executive Director of the Green Institute for Village Empowerment (GIVE), a non profit organization located in the Inland Empire in Southern California. GIVE is dedicated to educating and empowering tomorrow’s leaders to create a sustainable future. (www.Giveforthefuture.org). GIVE has launched the Green Valley Initiative in 2007 (www.GreenValleyNow.org) that will establish the Inland Empire as California’s Global Green Technology Center to combat climate change and to create a jobs-housing balance. Hamasaki was the President of SUN Utility Network, Inc., a green micro utility company that included solar energy, digital communications, and clean water technologies. The primary mission of the company was to establish solar televillages and senior eco-retirement resort villages in Latin America. He is the author of “Trading Places: Boomers for Immigrant Workers” that establishes a win-win-win solution to our growing aging problem and illegal immigrant controversy. He is a professional urban planner and was involved in the development of two 20-year Master Plans (1975-1995 and 1995-2015) for the City of Los Angeles. He served as a Los Angeles Airport Commissioner under Mayor Tom Bradley and a Los Angeles City Planning Commissioner under Mayor Riordan. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Arts Festival under the leadership of Maureen Kindel, Robert Fitzpatrick and Peter Sellers. The highly successful 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Art Festival was the foundation for the LA Art Festival. He founded and served as the Executive Director of the Friends of Little Tokyo Arts (FOLTA) whose mission was to integrate public art with the development of Little Tokyo community. FOLTA was instrumental in bringing Isamu Noguchi, world renowned sculptor, to create the Japanese American Community Center Plaza, a major art project in the City of Los Angeles. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center from 1980 to 2000. During his service he was instrumental in guiding the JACCC to become a pre-eminent cultural venue in Los Angeles. His passion is transitioning our Nation from the Gray Economy based on fossil fuel to a Green Economy based on solar and renewable energy. He describes himself as the “Green Evangelist, with the Green Gospel, and every Tree is my chapel.” He has been the author of many policy white papers on sustainable development. He received a BA Degree from Cal Ploy Pomona in environmental planning and design.

Its mission is to strengthen energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality in public-private partnerships, making a difference in the everyday lives of Americans by enhancing their energy choices and quality of life.
